Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has officially entered the Philippine motorcycle market, launching an early booking program for three electric two-wheeler models as it ramps up efforts to expand its footprint in Southeast Asia.
The move marks VinFast’s latest push to build a regional electric mobility ecosystem and comes less than a month after the company introduced a similar campaign in Indonesia.
From June 10 to July 18, Filipino consumers can reserve the VinFast Evo, VinFast Feliz II, and VinFast Viper through authorized dealerships and the company’s Philippine website for a booking fee of P3,000. Early buyers will also receive promotional incentives worth P5,600.
The launch significantly expands VinFast’s all-electric portfolio in the Philippines and positions the company to tap into one of Southeast Asia’s largest motorcycle markets, where two-wheelers remain the dominant mode of transport for millions of commuters.
A key differentiator is VinFast’s flexible battery ownership scheme. Customers can either purchase the motorcycles with batteries included or opt for a battery subscription model supported by a battery-swapping network, reducing upfront acquisition costs and easing concerns over charging and battery maintenance.
The three models target a broad range of riders, from daily commuters seeking economical transport solutions to younger consumers looking for sportier styling and smart features.
All three electric motorcycles are powered by a 5,200-watt motor and offer a driving range of up to 150 kilometers on a full charge using dual batteries, making them competitive alternatives to conventional gasoline-powered scooters.
VinFast said deliveries are expected to begin in July, coinciding with the rollout of battery-swapping stations through its partnership with V-Green.
The company’s entry adds momentum to the country’s nascent electric motorcycle sector as manufacturers race to capitalize on rising interest in cleaner transportation, lower operating costs, and the government’s push for greater adoption of electric vehicles.
