The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has collaborated with digital financial platform Maya to deliver fuel subsidies directly to eligible public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers and operators.
Under the national Fuel Subsidy Program, qualified beneficiaries will receive their assistance through the Maya mobile application. This move replaces traditional manual and over-the-counter payout methods, making the process faster and more convenient.
This initiative forms part of the government’s wider efforts to support the transport industry amid persistent increases in fuel costs and global market fluctuations.
Covered groups include drivers and operators of public utility jeepneys, UV Express units, taxis, and minibuses. The first batch of financial assistance has already been successfully distributed.
