Cebu Pacific opens one-stop service center for OFWs at MCIA Terminal 2

Cebu Pacific (CEB) has launched the new OFW Facilitation Center at Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) Terminal 2, aimed at making essential travel and government services easier to access for overseas Filipino workers before departure and upon arrival.

The facility is a joint project with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and airport operator Aboitiz InfraCapital Cebu Airport Corporation (ACAC). As a one-stop hub, it allows OFWs to process Overseas Employment Certificates (OECs) and complete other travel-related requirements directly at the airport.

Candice Iyog, CEB’s chief marketing and customer experience officer, noted the airline’s commitment to supporting OFWs, whose contributions are vital to the Philippine economy. She added that the center is part of efforts to deliver services tailored to their specific needs.

DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac said the initiative fits the agency’s goal of bringing government services closer to migrant workers, extending support from pre-departure through their return home.

This is the latest of CEB’s programs for overseas Filipinos, following schemes such as the OFW Balikbayan offering and the “Juan Flight Closer to Home” initiative, which invites skilled OFWs to join the country’s aviation sector. Cebu Pacific currently serves 35 domestic and 26 international routes across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
