ACMobility expands mobile EV charging for business fleets

ACMobility is expanding its mobile electric vehicle (EV) charging service, Power-on-Wheels (POW), as it seeks to remove one of the biggest obstacles to fleet electrification—limited access to charging infrastructure.

The Ayala Group’s end-to-end mobility platform said the wider rollout targets businesses that are transitioning to electric vehicles but lack permanent charging facilities, allowing them to deploy EVs without making large upfront investments in charging stations.

The expansion comes as more companies adopt EVs to meet sustainability targets, reduce fuel costs and comply with environmental commitments, increasing demand for flexible charging solutions beyond traditional fixed charging networks.

“With Power-on-Wheels, we are extending EV charging beyond fixed infrastructure to meet businesses where they operate,” said Carla Buencamino, head of mobility infrastructure at ACMobility.

“This enables a more flexible and resilient charging ecosystem that supports the operational realities of enterprise mobility today, and sets up businesses for success in the future,” she added.

The on-demand service delivers charging directly to offices, depots, commercial buildings, residential developments, dealerships, retail establishments, event venues and fleet operators, minimizing downtime while improving operational efficiency.

Businesses can subscribe through monthly or annual service plans that include a dedicated mobile coordinator and emergency roadside charging assistance. The service supports battery electric vehicles and select plug-in hybrid models using DC fast chargers capable of delivering up to 120 kilowatts and compatible with both CCS2 and GB/T charging standards.

POW is now available across Metro Manila, Bulacan, Pampanga, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal and other parts of Northern and Southern Luzon.

The expansion reflects a growing shift in the local EV market, where infrastructure providers are moving beyond conventional charging stations to offer more flexible solutions for commercial users. By bringing charging directly to customers, ACMobility is addressing a key bottleneck to EV adoption while helping businesses electrify their fleets without waiting for permanent charging infrastructure to catch up with demand.
