PhilWeb Corp. officially launched its new online gaming platform NWR Play on Friday, built to support Newport World Resorts’ entry into the country’s regulated digital gaming space.
Powered by PhilWeb’s full end-to-end solution, NWR Play combines premium game content, cloud infrastructure, operational support, customer service and regulatory compliance tools in one system. It also uses artificial intelligence to strengthen real-time monitoring, risk management, fraud prevention and service quality, helping boost both user growth and retention.
PhilWeb president Brian Ng noted the project shows the company’s ability to deliver world-class digital infrastructure for top resort brands, with enhanced AI capabilities and recent capital funding ensuring the platform meets Newport’s premium standards.
For Newport World Resorts, the launch is a key step in its wider digital transformation. It will connect the resort’s well-known land-based gaming experience with online channels, offering more Filipinos secure and responsible gaming options while opening up new revenue opportunities beyond its physical site, said Travellers International Hotel Group president and CEO Nilo Thaddeus Rodriguez.
NWR Play is the latest addition to PhilWeb’s growing list of regulated industry partners, which already includes Okada Manila and Hann Casino Resort. The platform will also feature content from Pragmatic Play, under PhilWeb’s exclusive nationwide partnership with the global iGaming provider.
