PhilFirst, UAE’s ProTech launch digital insurance services

Leading Philippine non-life insurance provider PhilFirst has partnered with global InsurTech firm ProTech to roll out next-generation integrated insurance services across the country. The collaboration aims to merge trusted traditional coverage with fast, convenient digital access for Filipino consumers.

PhilFirst, a member of the Philippines First Insurance Group and one of the nation’s oldest insurers established in 1906, brings more than 100 years of underwriting experience and proven financial stability to the alliance. ProTech, an artificial intelligence-powered platform headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, operates across South Asia and emerging markets, helping businesses offer and manage insurance entirely online.

“This partnership connects the reliability of long-standing financial protection with the ease of modern digital tools, so more people can get and handle insurance right when they need it,” said Ana, chief operations ofricer of PhilFirst. “For over a century, we have built our work on trust and service to Filipinos. As daily life becomes more digital, our way of delivering security must keep pace. Working with ProTech lets us combine our deep expertise with cutting-edge technology, turning insurance from something people only think about during emergencies into a simple, helpful part of everyday life.”

Under the new arrangement, customers will receive policies backed by PhilFirst’s established track record, while using ProTech’s AI system to sign up, update details, and file claims with fewer steps. The integrated platform will also make it easier for retailers, lenders, and other digital services to add insurance options directly to their own offerings, without building separate systems from scratch.

“The best insurance comes from pairing solid trust with smart technology,” said Azer Villola, country general manager of ProTech Devices Insurance Agency. “PhilFirst has earned generations of confidence from Filipinos, and ProTech brings the digital know-how to make that protection faster and easier to reach. Together, we are setting a new standard where no one has to choose between a name they can trust and an experience that fits their busy lives.”

Both companies noted that the collaboration focuses on making insurance more accessible rather than more complicated. By automating routine tasks and streamlining processes, the alliance aims to give customers quicker support and clearer information, so they feel secure whether they are buying coverage for their home, business, or personal needs.
