Jollibee opens new San Francisco store to boost North America expansion

Jollibee Foods Corporation, also called the Jollibee Group, has opened a new store in downtown San Francisco, California to grow its business across North America.

The new branch sits at 934 Market Street close to the Powell Street BART station, strengthening the brand’s standing in the Bay Area where it first launched in the United States in Daly City back in 1998.

Jollibee now runs over 100 stores across the U.S. and Canada, and draws wider customers thanks to its popular menu, good value, and rising public profile. Its famous Chickenjoy was named America’s best fast-food fried chicken by USA TODAY for the third year in a row in July 2026.

Beth Dela Cruz, President of Jollibee North America, shared that the Bay Area has warmly supported the brand since its first arrival nearly 30 years ago, and this new location marks an important step as it speeds up growth across California.

More stores are planned soon in Oxnard, Elk Grove, and Roseville, with the Roseville branch set to open on August 7, 2026 as the brand’s third franchised location in North America.

Jollibee’s franchising program is helping drive faster expansion across states like Nevada, New York, Texas, and Washington, supported by average sales of $4.9 million per store—about two and a half times the usual figure for similar quick-service restaurants.

Jollibee is the main brand of the Jollibee Group, which was recently named to both the TIME100 Most Influential Companies list and the top 10 TIME100 Companies Industry Leaders in Food & Drink for 2026, making it the only Philippine company to receive both honors.
