EastWest Bank has secured two honors from the International Finance Magazine (IFM): Most Innovative Securities Broker – Philippines and Best Priority Banking Experience – Philippines — marking its fourth straight win in the Priority Banking category.
These awards recognize the bank’s work to lower investment barriers and deliver tailored wealth solutions for Filipino clients. EastWest Priority Banking grew assets under management by 40 percent year-on-year as of end‑2025, anchored on four pillars: personalized portfolios, dedicated relationship managers, market intelligence, and lifestyle privileges. Clients get access to deposits, insurance, bonds, UITFs, equities, and FX, with advice aligned to their goals and risk profile. Thirteen Priority Banking centers nationwide plus digital support serve as a unified wealth hub.
For broader market access, EastWest cut minimum investments in US dollar government securities to USD 10,000 — far below the typical USD 50,000–200,000 market threshold. It also launched Bond Pooling, letting investors combine funds to meet minimums. These moves drove a 390 percent year‑on‑year jump in transaction volume, and listing 21 USD T‑bills in the central depository opened access to all Philippine market investors, not just bank clients.
“Our goal is to make quality investments and guidance accessible to more people at every stage of their financial journey,” said SEVP Rafael S. Algarra Jr. “These twin awards validate that approach.”
For consumers, lower minimums and flexible options open up currency diversification and professional wealth management that were once out of reach. For the bank, sustained recognition and rapid AUM growth underscore strong market trust and competitive differentiation in the Philippines’ wealth and investment sector.
