Damosa Land awards raise Mindanao investment profile

Damosa Land Inc. (DLI) is strengthening Mindanao’s profile as a real estate and investment destination after securing multiple honors at the 14th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards 2026.

The Davao-based developer was named Best Boutique Developer for the second consecutive year and the third time since 2020, putting a Mindanao-grown company among the country’s recognized property developers.

DLI’s TRYP by Wyndham Samal also won Best Investment Condo Development and Best Beachfront Condotel Architectural Design, highlighting the project’s investment proposition and hospitality-oriented design.

“Being recognized for these prestigious awards is a powerful validation that Mindanao is leading the way in real estate innovation,” DLI President Ricardo Floirendo Lagdameo said.

The recognition comes as DLI expands across residential, industrial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments in Mindanao, seeking to build projects that combine investment opportunities with broader economic activity.

TRYP by Wyndham Samal, which broke ground in January, is particularly notable as the first project approved under the Securities and Exchange Commission’s SEC-RENT framework. The development has sold 70 percent of its units and is targeted for completion in 2028.

The project will also bring the first global hotel brand to the Island Garden City of Samal through Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, adding an international hospitality component to the island’s tourism and property market.

DLI said its strategy is centered on creating interconnected development ecosystems that can attract investors while supporting businesses and communities around its projects.

“Our goal has always been to create ecosystems in every project that we build—places where people can live, work, invest, do business, and build their futures,” Lagdameo said.

The awards give DLI added visibility as it positions Mindanao as a market capable of supporting sophisticated property developments, hospitality investments, and mixed-use projects.

For the developer, the recognition also reinforces its strategy of using property development as a platform for broader regional growth rather than focusing solely on individual projects.
