BDO Unibank’s BDO Kabayan Facebook Page has earned an Award of Merit in the Social Media category at the Philippine Quill Awards for the second straight year, this time for its campaign “Alagang Kabayan: Where Every Kabayan Belongs.”
The honor recognizes the platform’s work in connecting with overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) through content that helps them manage their finances while staying close to family back home. For many Filipinos working abroad, digital spaces have become a vital source of guidance and support. The BDO Kabayan page, run by BDO Remit, shares practical financial tips, remittance updates, and useful information to help OFWs make sound money decisions.
“Every remittance represents hard work, sacrifice, and commitment to family,” said Genie T. Gloria, BDO senior vice president and head of remittance. “Through the BDO Kabayan Facebook Page, we aim to provide useful information and a sense of community for Filipinos overseas as they manage their financial responsibilities and work toward their goals.”
The award underscores BDO Remit’s ongoing Alagang Kabayan promise: to serve Filipinos beyond the transaction. The page offers a dedicated online space where OFWs can access timely content, share experiences, and stay connected to the people and dreams that drive them forward.
