Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) has partnered with online travel platform Trip.com to boost Cebu’s standing as a key travel hub, bringing more flight choices, easier booking and exclusive discounts to domestic and international commuters.
The collaboration taps Trip.com’s wide digital reach and airline partnerships to encourage more inbound and outbound travel through Cebu. Backed by the platform’s 2.5 million active subscribers, the two parties have secured special arrangements with major airlines including Philippine Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, China Airlines, Starlux Airlines, EVA Air, Scoot, Jetstar, Korean Air and United Airlines.
“This partnership underscores our ongoing commitment to expanding global access to the beautiful destinations of the Philippines,” said Athanasios Titonis, Chief Executive of Aboitiz InfraCapital Airports. “This strategic exchange with Trip.com maximizes our digital footprint across our key markets on a high-traffic platform. It perfectly aligns with our mandate to champion Cebu as a vibrant hub, ensuring we bring value to our passengers through different platforms for the routes that we develop.”
For travelers, the partnership means easier access to special offers for flights to and from Cebu, as well as Aboitiz InfraCapital’s airports in Bohol and Laguindingan. Users can search for travel deals and claim exclusive vouchers for flights, hotels and attractions across these destinations.
MCIA said the initiative reinforces Cebu’s role as a vital travel and connectivity hub, as it continues to expand route options, support airline partners and drive growth in the regional tourism economy.
