Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. contributed P9.05 billion to customs collections at the Port of Batangas in the first seven months of 2026, ranking among the port’s top three importers and accounting for more than 6.3 percent of its total collections.
The Bureau of Customs recognized MMPC during the Port of Batangas’ 69th Founding Anniversary and 2026 First Half Performance Review held in August in Batangas.
MMPC received a Plaque of Appreciation for contributing approximately P9.052 billion in revenues from January to July, reflecting the scale of its import activity through the port.
The recognition also highlights MMPC’s continued use of Batangas as a key gateway for its import operations and its contribution to trade activity in CALABARZON.
The event brought together customs officials, importers, exporters, port operators, and other industry stakeholders under the theme “Marangal na Paglilingkod, Makabagong Sistema, Tapat na Aduana.”
BOC Assistant Secretary Charlie Bathan and BOC Batangas District Collector Carmelita Talusan were among the officials who attended the event.
MMPC Logistics Vice President Jemabel Boncajes, Logistics Assistant Vice President Jesus Cacapit, and Logistics Staff Jamela Nas received the award on behalf of the company.
The recognition underscores MMPC’s position as a major importer through the Port of Batangas, with its customs contribution providing a significant share of the port’s collections during the period.
