Cebu Pacific has taken delivery of an additional Airbus A320neo, moving forward with its fleet modernization drive to raise operational efficiency. The aircraft arrived in Manila from Airbus’ production facility in Tianjin, China on September 11. It marks the third of four A320neo units the carrier is set to receive this year.
With this addition, next-generation NEO aircraft now account for 77 percent of Cebu Pacific’s jet fleet, demonstrating steady progress toward a newer, more economical aircraft portfolio. The airline plans to welcome a total of seven NEO models throughout 2026, further increasing this share.
“Adding another A320neo underscores our commitment to newer, fuel-efficient aircraft that give us greater operational flexibility across our entire route network,” said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer. “This approach lets us upgrade our fleet while helping keep air travel affordable for more Filipinos.”
The NEO family delivers key logistical and sustainability advantages: it burns 15 to 20 percent less fuel per flight than older models, generates far less noise, and cuts carbon output—strengthening both performance and long-term operational stability. Cebu Pacific notes it maintains one of the youngest fleets globally, comprising 14 Airbus A330s, 27 A321s, 38 A320s, and 20 ATR turboprops.
This fleet supports the airline’s broad reach, serving 37 domestic points and 26 international locations—the most extensive network in the Philippines. Reliable, efficient aircraft help sustain consistent schedules, optimize route planning and resource use, and support wider connectivity for passengers and cargo.
