Filinvest joins growing roster of developers backing Expanded 4PH

Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) has joined a growing roster of major property developers supporting the government’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH), widening the housing inventory and financing options available to qualified homebuyers.

FLI signed a memorandum of understanding with Pag-IBIG Fund on Tuesday, following similar partnerships with SM Development Corp. (SMDC), Ayala Land Inc.’s Amaia Land Corp. and Avida Land Corp., and Megawide Construction Corp.

Under the agreement, qualified Pag-IBIG members may access preferential financing rates, discounts, home furniture packages and other incentives on select FLI residential units, subject to program guidelines.

Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling said the entry of more private developers would expand housing choices for Filipino families.

“Ang bawat developer na sumusuporta sa Expanded 4PH ay dagdag na oportunidad para sa ating mga kababayan na magkaroon ng sariling tahanan,” Aliling said.

FLI’s participation comes barely a week after SMDC entered into a similar agreement with Pag-IBIG Fund. In August, Amaia and Avida also partnered with the Fund, while Megawide committed at least 7,000 socialized housing units in February using modern construction technologies.

The partnerships reflect the government’s broader push to tap private-sector housing inventory and Pag-IBIG financing to expand the reach of 4PH.

The Expanded 4PH widened the original program beyond vertical developments to include horizontal socialized housing and other secure-tenure modalities, broadening the types of projects that can participate.

Pag-IBIG CEO Marilene Acosta and FLI President Tristan Las Marias signed the agreement.
