Filinvest opens energy-efficient tech to external clients

Filinvest Group has rolled out two key energy efficiency initiatives: an EV charging station at Festival Mall in Muntinlupa City, and broader availability of its high-efficiency district cooling systems for companies outside its portfolio.

Developed with Movem Electric Inc. of Meralco, the Festival Mall station includes ChargeM app support for seamless user management and digital advertising integration. It serves as the first step in Filinvest’s group-wide EV infrastructure expansion, future-proofing properties and advancing the Philippine electric mobility ecosystem.

Through its ENGIE joint venture Philippine DCS Development Corp. (PDDC), Filinvest offers centralized cooling systems that cut energy use by at least 40 percent. The model eliminates individual building cooling units, delivering end-to-end services without upfront capital costs. Since 2017, Filinvest City’s district cooling network has saved 108 GWh and avoided 76,000 tons of carbon emissions. PDDC now serves major sites including Clark International Airport and PBCom Tower, with total capacity of 27,600 refrigeration tons, 120 GWh in aggregate savings, and 84,000 tons of carbon reduction. The technology is now accessible to all property owners to boost efficiency and meet sustainability goals.
