NQX Philippines (formerly Quantrics) and Naga City Leni Robredo have reaffirmed public‑private collaboration as key to workforce development, community growth, and regional progress during a recent courtesy call at Naga City Hall.
NQX — already Naga’s largest employer with about 1,600 local staff — is expanding in the countryside and investing deeply in homegrown talent. The company plans to create at least 725 additional jobs nationwide over the next three years and is exploring further opportunities across emerging regional hubs, bringing quality careers closer to communities.
NQX Global VP for HR Jun Abo and VP for Operations Geoffrey Guin represented the firm. “We see strong potential outside traditional business hubs,” Guin said. “Our goal: let people build careers without leaving their families, strengthen communities, and drive sustainable local growth.”
Mayor Robredo highlighted Naga’s new Highly Urbanized City status and ongoing infrastructure work — including airport runway upgrades — as key advantages for investors and growth.
NQX is upskilling its workforce with AI training to equip locals with future‑ready skills and serve global clients better. It also offered to extend these digital upskilling sessions to Naga City Government staff, lifting competitiveness across both public and private sectors.
“Great organizations are built by great people,” said Abo. “We measure success not just by results, but by impact. We’re proud to partner with Mayor Robredo to build opportunity, talent, and growth for Naga and the whole Bicol region.”
Discussions also covered shared community well‑being: NQX has signed an agreement with Naga City General Hospital to improve employee healthcare access. It marks seven straight years supporting the Peñafrancia Festival, reaffirming deep local ties. Guin also offered NQX’s Naga facilities — secure, power‑ready — as community safe spaces during calamities, ready to serve alongside local government in times of need.
