The Department of Agriculture (DA) is leveraging the ongoing 3rd Kadiwa ng Pangulo Expo to unlock broader market opportunities for local farmers and fisherfolk.
Running alongside Agrilink, Foodlink, and Aqualink 2026, the free public expo brings together 60 exhibitors—farmers’ cooperatives, agri-entrepreneurs, government agencies, and private partners—to showcase fresh produce and forge direct business connections.
Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. emphasized that Kadiwa bridges the gap between producers and households. “It lets farmers sell directly, raising their income while giving consumers more affordable, nutritious food,” he said. The initiative stands as a key pillar in strengthening the country’s agriculture sector.
DA Assistant Secretary Genevieve Velicaria-Guevarra noted the joint events create a one-stop hub linking producers not just to buyers, but also to modern farm machinery, postharvest solutions, and business partnerships. “As we expand Kadiwa, we’re helping cooperatives access bigger markets and grow more competitive. We’re bringing together market access, innovation, and enterprise development in one platform,” she explained.
Last year’s expo yielded over ₱2 million in sales from 77 participants, underscoring the program’s growing impact on local livelihoods.
