The Securities and Exchange Commission or SEC-registered Sulit Lending Corporation has officially launched its digital lending app PeraSure, offering easier credit access to millions of Filipino workers without regular payslips.
Latest data from the Philippine Statistics Authority show around 9.9 million employed Filipinos — or 22% of the country’s 44-million workforce — are in gig or informal work, including freelancers, platform workers and small business owners. Their fluctuating income often keeps them from meeting standard loan requirements.
“Many hardworking Filipinos earn a living outside a regular payroll, yet lending has long been built around payslips,” PeraSure said. The platform requires only a valid government ID and basic income details, cutting down usual paperwork. All interest rates, fees and total repayment costs are clearly shown upfront before any loan is confirmed.
PeraSure uses a revolving credit system: approved users may draw from their credit line as needed, and can qualify for higher limits as they build a good repayment record. This is designed to help workers manage uneven cash flow, cover business costs or meet emergency expenses.
The launch also aligns with new SEC rules that took effect April 1, 2026, capping total interest and fees for small loans at 12% monthly, down from 15%. PeraSure noted its daily interest starts at 0.10%, with actual charges based on loan terms, and all rates stay within regulatory limits.
