JPMorganChase has received two major distinctions at the 2026 Bahaghari Awards organized by Philippine Financial and Inter-Industry PRIDE (PFIP), highlighting its efforts to advance LGBTQ+ inclusion, employee engagement and workplace diversity in the Philippines.
The financial services firm was named Company of the Year for its workplace policies, employee benefits and programs supporting LGBTQ+ employees, particularly in talent retention, professional development and the creation of an inclusive working environment.
Its Philippine PRIDE business resource group also won PRIDE Network of the Year, recognizing employee-led initiatives that promote diversity, professional engagement and community participation within and beyond the organization.
For JPMorganChase, the awards underscore an approach that integrates inclusion into its broader business and organizational priorities rather than treating it as a standalone corporate initiative.
“What makes this meaningful is that the work is part of how we run the business,” said Bettina Salmo, head of Corporate Centers, Philippines at JPMorganChase.
“We look at our culture and how we show up in the community with the same expectation we bring to any business priority: that the work should be intentional, sustained and make a difference for our people,” she added.
Brad Baumoel, JPMorganChase global head of the Office of LGBTQ+ Affairs, accepted the Company of the Year award on behalf of the firm.
PFIP Chair Angelo Camaya said the recognition highlights the value of safe and inclusive workplaces, which can benefit employees while encouraging stronger practices across the financial services sector and other industries.
JPMorganChase has worked with PFIP since 2017 to advance LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion across the Philippine business community through industry partnerships and employee engagement initiatives.
The recognition also reflects the growing role of employee-led networks and corporate policies in shaping workplace culture. Sustaining such progress, however, requires organizations to translate inclusion commitments into consistent practices, meaningful employee support and opportunities for professional growth.
For employers, the awards offer a reminder that workplace inclusion extends beyond formal policies to how employees experience organizational culture and participate in their communities.
