SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. (SMHCC) is rolling out Halloween-themed dining and entertainment activities across nine hotel properties nationwide from Oct. 24 to 31, seeking to draw families and leisure guests beyond the traditional market for overnight stays.
The program features themed buffets, costume parties, live performances and interactive activities, positioning seasonal experiences as an additional draw for hotel restaurants and entertainment venues during the Halloween break.
“Halloween is an opportunity for our properties to create occasions that people can enjoy together, whether they are looking for a family afternoon, a themed meal, or an evening of entertainment,” SMHCC Executive Vice President Peggy Angeles said.
Among the offerings, Conrad Manila will stage its “Sorcery of Fun and Flavors” buffet on Oct. 24 and 25, priced at P3,988 per person. Lanson Place Mall of Asia, meanwhile, will host a Halloween music festival featuring eight DJs on Oct. 24.
Taal Vista Hotel will offer its “Brick-or-Treat Getaway,” combining games and magic shows with a toy-collection initiative. Radisson Blu Cebu is scheduled to hold an enchanted forest-themed celebration on Oct. 30, while Park Inn by Radisson Davao will feature Brazilian barbecue and live entertainment.
On Oct. 31, Pico Sands Hotel will organize activities for children, while Park Inn properties in North EDSA, Iloilo and Bacolod will stage themed dining and family entertainment.
Published admission prices for selected activities range from P488 to P3,988, depending on the property and package.
The varied lineup reflects SMHCC’s effort to broaden the role of its properties as destinations for dining and leisure, rather than relying solely on room bookings and convention business. Seasonal events can create additional reasons for guests to visit, although their contribution to overall hotel revenues will depend on attendance, spending and operating costs.
SMHCC, the hospitality arm of SM Prime Holdings Inc., operates 10 hotel properties with more than 2,600 rooms and over 42,000 square meters of leasable convention space. The Halloween campaign covers nine of its properties.
