Renewed alliance meant to boost data privacy and online safety for youth

Globe and the National Privacy Commission (NPC) have renewed their partnership to strengthen data privacy and digital safety across the Philippines. By extending their Memorandum of Understanding, both entities aim to empower young Filipinos to navigate an increasingly complex online landscape safely, particularly as artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies transform daily communication and learning.

This renewed collaboration carries major corporate significance for Globe, reinforcing its position as a proactive leader in digital citizenship and ethical technology governance. Beyond providing network services, the company is actively embedding privacy protection into its corporate advocacy. Through this alliance, Globe will contribute heavily to the NPC’s Kabataang Digital initiative and co-develop educational assets, including the donation of its upcoming “Safe Space 2.0” book focusing on AI awareness and digital wellness.

For everyday consumers, especially parents, students, and educators, the partnership translates into practical, accessible tools for real-world online safety. Rather than relying solely on complex technical settings, the initiative equips families with the practical knowledge needed to identify digital risks, protect personal data, and build healthy habits in digital environments.

The joint effort builds on Globe’s long-standing consumer protection programs, including its Digital Thumbprint Program, which has already educated over two million students and teachers since 2016. By combining public policy expertise with private sector reach, Globe and the NPC are working together to foster a safer, more responsible digital environment for all Filipinos.
