D&L Industries earns 3rd Golden Arrow for Governance Excellence

D&L Industries Inc. (PSE: DNL) has secured a three-Golden Arrow distinction from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) for the second consecutive year, extending its recognition in the annual corporate governance awards to seven straight years.

The company received the distinction at the awarding ceremony on October 23, 2026, at Makati Shangri-La in Makati City. The recognition underscores D&L’s sustained performance under the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS), which assesses publicly listed companies and insurance entities against regional governance standards.

The Golden Arrow Awards evaluate companies on shareholder rights, equitable treatment of shareholders, transparency and disclosure, and board leadership and accountability. D&L’s back-to-back three-arrow recognition reflects its continued alignment with local regulatory requirements and broader ASEAN governance benchmarks.

“We are proud to be once again recognized by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) with another three Golden Arrow awards this year,” D&L President and CEO Alvin Lao said.

“Earning this back-to-back award reaffirms the collective efforts of everyone in our company to elevate how we operate our business consistently, how we protect the trust of our customers and business partners, and how we create long-term value for our shareholders,” he added.

The latest recognition adds to D&L’s seven-year run in the Golden Arrow Awards, signaling consistency in its governance performance rather than a one-time achievement. However, while governance distinctions provide an external benchmark for corporate practices, they do not by themselves establish a company’s financial performance or guarantee future shareholder returns.

For investors, strong governance can help strengthen confidence in management oversight, disclosure practices, and the protection of shareholder interests. These factors are particularly relevant as businesses navigate shifting market conditions and balance near-term operating demands with long-term growth objectives.

The ICD, a non-stock, nonprofit national association of corporate directors and other governance stakeholders, promotes responsible corporate leadership and stewardship as part of efforts to support inclusive and sustainable development in the Philippines.
