TaiwanLink Fair highlights Taiwan-Philippines business ties

The inaugural TaiwanLink Fair 2026 brought Taiwanese businesses together with Philippine government officials and industry representatives for two days of exhibitions, networking and cultural exchange at Glorietta Activity Center on Oct. 24 and 25.

Organized by the Taiwan Association, Inc. (TAP), the event attracted approximately 2,000 participants in QR code activities, while hourly lucky draws generated 636 entries, according to the association.

Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III attended the opening ceremony alongside Taipei Economic and Cultural Office Representative Wallace Minn-Gan Chow, Manila Economic and Cultural Office directors Cherbett Karen L. Maralit and Wilson U. Tecson, Department of Trade and Industry Assistant Secretary Kenneth T. Yap, and Department of Information and Communications Technology Director Zeus Ebora.

The fair showcased Taiwanese brands and enterprises across food, consumer goods, technology and business services, providing a venue to introduce their products and operations to Filipino consumers and potential business partners.

Its program featured a screening of A Chip Odyssey, a documentary exploring Taiwan’s semiconductor industry, as well as a presentation on agricultural cooperation by the Taiwan Technical Mission. A “Meet the Owner” session also gave participants an opportunity to hear from Taiwanese entrepreneurs operating in the Philippines.

TAP President Jia Hsieh said the fair sought to strengthen connections through business, investment, innovation and cultural exchange. The association highlighted Taiwanese companies’ contributions to the Philippine economy through investments, job creation and technology transfer.

Interactive activities included brand presentations, trivia games and shopping promotions. Participants also had opportunities to win round-trip Manila-Taipei tickets sponsored by China Airlines, EVA Air and STARLUX Airlines.

Beyond its consumer-facing activities, TaiwanLink provided a platform for businesses and government representatives to explore shared interests and strengthen commercial relationships between the two economies.

TAP said it hopes to develop TaiwanLink into a continuing platform for Taiwan-Philippines cooperation, building on existing economic ties and creating opportunities for greater business engagement, investment and cultural understanding.
