Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) has opened Astra Lifestyle Centre along A.S. Fortuna Street in Mandaue City, adding a retail component to its mixed-use Astra Centre development as property developers increasingly combine shopping, dining, residential and workplace offerings in a single destination.
The centre brings together homegrown businesses and Manila-based dining concepts entering Cebu, giving local brands access to a broader customer base while introducing new operators to one of Mandaue’s established commercial corridors.
Beyond retail, the development is designed to draw customers from multiple segments, including condominium residents, hotel guests, office workers and other visitors. The mix could help sustain activity throughout the day, although the centre’s longer-term performance will depend on tenant uptake, consumer spending and its ability to build a regular customer base.
Astra Centre integrates the Radisson RED Cebu Mandaue hotel, developed by CLI Hotels and Resorts; One Astra Place residential condominium; and the 12-storey Astra Corporate Centre. The retail hub adds a consumer-facing layer to the project, linking its residential, hospitality and office components.
“Astra Lifestyle Centre reflects our vision of creating more than just retail spaces, but destinations that become part of people’s everyday lives,” said Joanna Marie S. Bergundthal, CLI executive vice president and chief people and strategy officer.
Among the new dining entrants are Nabe Izakaya and Hotpot, Refuel Specialty Coffee and Bistro, and Hai Chix and Steaks, all making their Cebu debut. They join local restaurants and cafés, alongside businesses offering groceries, wellness services, fitness, children’s activities and home furnishings.
More tenants are expected to join the lineup, including Much Love Mom, Little Italy Pizzeria and Studio 300, which will bring sports and recreation offerings to Cebu.
The project also received industry recognition, winning Best Retail Architectural Design at the 2026 PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards. CLI collected nine awards at the same event, including Best Developer in the Philippines, adding to its portfolio of property-industry accolades.
