Manulife Investments Philippines said five of its peso-denominated unit investment trust funds (UITFs) ranked first or among the top performers in their respective categories in the first nine months of 2026, with its semiconductor-focused equity feeder fund posting a 100.74 percent return.
Based on performance from January 1 to September 30, the investment manager secured the top three positions in the Feeder Fund–Equity category and ranked first in both the Equity and Feeder Fund–Fixed Income categories, underscoring the strong showing of its technology-oriented strategies alongside its broader regional investment offerings.
The Manulife Global Semiconductor Opportunities Equity Feeder Fund led equity feeder funds, benefiting investors seeking exposure to companies serving artificial intelligence, data centers and consumer electronics. Its 100.74 percent return stood well ahead of the Manulife Global Technology Equity Feeder Fund, which gained 38.43 percent, and the Manulife Global Clean Energy Equity Feeder Fund, which returned 29.57 percent.
The technology and clean energy funds target different market segments, including businesses supporting digital infrastructure and the transition to cleaner energy.
In the Equity category, the Manulife Asia Best Select Equity Fund’s PHP Unhedged Class A ranked first among retail share classes, returning 38.01 percent. The fund invests in companies listed across Asian markets, excluding Japan.
Meanwhile, the Manulife Asia Short Duration Bond Feeder Fund’s PHP Unhedged Class A topped the fixed-income feeder fund category with a 6.36 percent return. Its strategy focuses on high-quality Asian bonds with maturities of less than three years.
“Our funds’ strong performance reflects the breadth of strategies we make available to investors,” said Aira Gaspar, president and chief executive officer of Manulife Investments Philippines.
The results cover a period of substantial divergence across the company’s strategies, with the semiconductor fund’s triple-digit gain highlighting the potential rewards—and market risks—associated with concentrated exposure to fast-growing technology themes. Past performance, however, does not guarantee future returns.
Manulife said investors can access and manage its UITF offerings online through the Manulife iFUNDS platform, with options designed for different financial objectives and risk appetites.
