GERI spending P5 billion to develop 150-hectares in Batangas

Global-Estate Resorts Inc., a unit of Andrew Tan’s Megaworld Corp., is setting aside P5 billion over 10 years to develop a 150-hectare beachside property in Lian, Batangas.

The integrated lifestyle community named Lialto Beach and Golf Estates sits on a highland with views of the sea and nearby islands.

Its development will include a residential village, an 18-hole golf course, a beach clubhouse featuring a 20-meter tall lighthouse, landscaped gardens and a kilometer-long coastline that includes a beach area.

The residential village will offer prime lots ranging from 300 square meters up to 1,200 square meters, including those along the fairways and on elevated areas.

The company is offering Alto lots or lots on high elevation with an ocean view, beach lots, golf lots, or those situated alongside the golf course and primo lots.

“Lialto comes from ‘Lian,’ which is the municipality where the development is located, and ‘alto,’ which means high altitude or height, a vivid description of how this development stands on an elevated area in this side of Batangas,” Javier Romeo Abustan, vice president of sales and marketing at Megaworld Global-Estate Inc., said.

The development is approximately 2.5 hours away from Metro Manila and about 45 minutes away from Tagaytay.

From the central business districts of Makati or Taguig, it can be accessed via the South Luzon Expressway and the Cavite-Laguna Expressway leading to the Calatagan-Lian Highway.

Lialto Beach and Golf Estates will be the Megaworld group’s 32nd township development.
