Budget airline offers one-way base fare “piso flights” anew

AirAsia Philippines has rolled out a new round of “piso flights” to domestic and international destinations to attract more passengers and encourage them to travel. The promotional flights are a nod to the local currency, the Philippine peso.

From 8 to 16 June passengers may book one-way base fare flights from Manila, Clark, and Cebu to select AirAsia domestic destinations for only P1.

Similarly, flights from Manila to 11 international destinations may also purchase one-way base fare costing only P1 up to P2,811 for travels from September 2, 2024 to 8 October 2025.

“We are on a full throttle to support our guests’ travel plans this second half of 2024. Amidst various challenges such as the Level 6 fuel surcharge, inflation, and the weakening peso, we are committed to provide the best deals to our guests by offering the lowest airfares and other affordable deals such as hotels and other activities which are available through our AirAsia MOVE app,” Steve Dailisan, Air Communications and Public Affairs head at AirAsia, said.

The budget airline is also inviting guests to pair up their low-fare flight with hotel stays made affordable with huge discounts via the AirAsia MOVE app.

AirAsia Philippines has flown over 3 million guests to domestic and international destinations.

Marketed as one of the world’s best low-cost airlines, AirAsia looks to triple this figure towards the end of 2024.
