Fuel prices at the pumps fall across the board beginning Tuesday, led by kerosene that sells P1.30 cheaper per liter in latest rollbacks the various retailers have announced.
This developed in the wake of price cuts a week earlier when mixed price adjustments driven by expectations of global demand continuing to fall were announced.
Seaoil and Caltex cut the price of their gasoline products by P0.60 per liter, kerosene by P1.30 per liter and diesel by P1.20 per liter.
Clean Fuel, Jetti and PTT similarly reduced the price of their gasoline by P0.60 per liter and diesel by P1.20 per liter.
Various analysts project global crude demand will continue to moderate this year.
Department of Energy data show gasoline (RON91) in Manila selling for P62.30 per liter, diesel for P60.05 per liter and kerosene for P72.96 per liter.
DOE data also show year-to-date adjustments as a net increase of P6.65 per liter for gasoline and P5.45 per liter for diesel but a net cut of P0.25 per liter for kerosene.
