    Treasury bill yields mixed at Tuesday’s auction; 91-day bill rate unchanged

    Treasury bill rates were mixed at Tuesday’s auction, with the market waiting for better cues on the  direction of interest rates.

    Yield on 91-day T-bills were unchanged at 5.666 percent compared to the result of the previous auction, even with bids nearly three times more than the offered amount of P5 billion. Total tenders reached P14.81 billion.

    Average rate on the 181-day treasury bills rose to 5.930 percent from 5.914 percent while 364-day paper eased to 6.031 percent from 6.046 percent. Tenders for the six-month bills was P10.71 billion while total bids for the one-year paper was P14.26 billion.

    June inflation data are due next week and will  likely provide better direction on domestic interest rates.
