Green Heat Corp. eyes P2B solar expansion

Renewable energy developer Green Heat Corp. on Tuesday announced plans to invest up to P2 billion in solar power projects over the next 18 months, aiming to increase its capacity by 100 megawatts (MW). Managing director Glenn Tong revealed in a briefing that the funding will be sourced from investors, including parties from Europe and the Middle East.

Tong said many projects are already in the pipeline, some in collaboration with sister company Green Dot, which focuses on residential installations. He said while many discussions with large enterprises are underway, confidentiality agreements limit the company from sharing details.

The upcoming projects feature floating solar installations and partnerships with SM Malls and with data centers. Green Heat aims to boost its service offerings, including operations and maintenance, to maximize system efficiency. The company’s energy portfolio includes 40- to 50-MW installations for clients like SM and Landers Superstores.
