Department of Agriculture assistant secretary for swine and poultry, Constante Palabrica, recently paid a courtesy visit to Cebu governor Gwendolyn Garcia to discuss critical issues affecting the local swine industry. The meeting focused on the movement of hogs and strategies to ensure the welfare of Cebu’s hog farmers.
Asec. Palabrica expressed his strong commitment to supporting the agricultural sector, particularly the livelihood of local hog farmers. “I care deeply for the welfare of our farmers,” Palabrica said during the meeting. “Supporting the livelihood of hog farmers is imperative.”
Governor Garcia welcomed Palabrica’s dedication, emphasizing his genuine concern for the sector. “Asec. Palabrica has shown that his heart is truly with our farmers, and his efforts to protect the hog industry are much appreciated,” Garcia said.
The visit underscores ongoing efforts by the Department of Agriculture to collaborate with local leaders to safeguard the region’s agricultural economy.
