    Globe launches first private 5G network in PH

    Globe has introduced the Philippines’ first fully functional private 5G network, aimed at addressing operational challenges across various industries. Deployed at a Globe facility in Makati City, the network offers businesses a dedicated, high-performance wireless solution, unlike traditional public networks. With exclusive, secure connectivity, Globe’s private 5G network enables customization for specific business needs, including low-latency applications.

    Soon to be available for B2B clients in sectors like ports, mining, and manufacturing, the service promises to unlock new digital possibilities. Gerhard Tan, Globe senior director for technology strategy, emphasized the network’s potential to drive digital transformation by overcoming connectivity challenges.

    In partnership with Nokia Shanghai Bell, Globe also piloted a video surveillance and analytics solution, enhancing safety and efficiency through features like facial recognition and vehicle plate tracking.

    Globe’s private 5G deployment marks a significant step in its commitment to innovation, empowering businesses with cutting-edge connectivity for a more secure and efficient future.
