IWG expands hybrid workspace network in Pampanga

International Workplace Group (IWG), the world’s largest provider of hybrid workspaces, is set to open its first Regus centre in Mabalacat, Pampanga. This expansion underscores IWG’s strategy to meet the growing demand for flexible workspaces across the Philippines, driven by a rising shift toward hybrid working models.

Located at the Skytech IT Park along McArthur Highway, the new centre is the result of its partnership with Mabalacat Prime Land Realty and Development Corporation. Positioned in Mabalacat City—an emerging regional business hub and gateway to Central Luzon—the centre is strategically placed to cater to businesses looking for flexible, cost-efficient workspaces in the heart of a thriving economic zone.

With easy access to key expressways and commercial hubs, Mabalacat offers companies a prime location to establish a regional presence. This makes it an attractive destination for businesses in search of scalability and efficiency, especially in a post-pandemic landscape that increasingly favors hybrid work arrangements.

The new Regus centre will offer a range of modern workspaces, including private offices, collaborative coworking areas, meeting rooms, and access to IWG’s global network. It is part of IWG’s broader push to expand its footprint in the Philippines, with 33 centres already operational and additional openings slated for early 2025. This is in line with IWG’s vision to drive growth in key regional markets where demand for flexible office solutions is skyrocketing.

According to IWG senior VP for APAC North, Lars Wittig, “As the demand for flexible workspaces continues to rise, we are proud to provide businesses with cost-effective, scalable solutions that enable them to operate with enhanced flexibility and efficiency.”

The flexible workspace market is projected to grow to USD 58.07 billion by 2037, with coworking spaces playing a pivotal role in this surge. Companies that adopt hybrid working models report significant cost savings, with businesses saving an average of USD 11,000 per employee annually.

The Mabalacat launch marks a significant milestone in IWG’s regional expansion, with the Philippines continuing to emerge as a key market for the company. As hybrid work accelerates globally, IWG’s flexible workspace solutions are well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of businesses seeking productivity, agility, and reduced operational costs.
