Cebu Pacific expands reach with direct Iloilo-Bangkok flights

Cebu Pacific (CEB) is set to enhance travel options in Western Visayas by launching direct flights between Iloilo City and Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport, effective 31 March this year. The new route, operated three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, will provide a more convenient and cost-effective gateway to Thailand for passengers from Iloilo.

With this launch, Cebu Pacific becomes the only airline offering non-stop flights between Iloilo and Bangkok. This development marks the airline’s third international destination from Iloilo, joining its existing routes to Hong Kong and Singapore.

Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer, expressed excitement over the new offering, stating, “We are thrilled to offer more travelers the opportunity to explore the majestic city of Bangkok. Strengthening our Iloilo hub allows us to connect even more passengers from the Western Visayas region to exciting destinations across our international network.”

In celebration of the new route, Cebu Pacific is offering a limited-time seat sale from 12 to 16 February 2025, with fares starting at just P1 (excluding fees and surcharges). The sale is valid for travel between 31 March and 25 October 2025.

This expansion highlights Cebu Pacific’s strong growth trajectory. In 2024, the airline carried 24.5 million passengers, a 17.6 percent increase from 2023, driven by a robust 24.6 percent rise in international traffic. With its current network of 37 domestic and 26 international destinations, Cebu Pacific continues to reinforce its commitment to affordable and accessible travel options for both domestic and international travelers.
