Ria Money Transfer, a global leader in cross-border money transfers and a segment of Euronet Worldwide, Inc., has opened a new office in the Zuellig Building, Makati City, reinforcing its commitment to the Filipino market and positioning itself for future growth. This comes as the Philippines remains a critical market for remittances, which are a key contributor to the nation’s economy.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Ria president and CEO Shawn Fielder emphasized the company’s long-term dedication to the Filipino community. “We believe in ‘thinking global, but acting local,’ ensuring that we serve both our customers and their loved ones in a familiar, safe, and convenient manner,” said Fielder.
The new office serves as a strategic hub, supporting Ria’s extensive services including money transfers, mobile wallet integrations, currency exchange, and bill payments. With over 607,000 locations across nearly 200 countries, Ria’s growing presence in the Philippines includes key partnerships with companies like Palawan Pawnshop, Cebuana Lhuillier, and M Lhuillier, and integrations with major banks and digital wallets such as GCash.
Beyond financial services, Ria is also committed to social responsibility. Since 2022, the company has partnered with Save the Children Philippines, funding the “ROOTS” program, which supports over 1,000 youth in Antipolo City with climate resilience and leadership training.
