In the aftermath of a devastating earthquake that struck Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam on Friday, Globe Telecom is offering free roaming services to help Filipinos in these regions stay connected with their families and access vital services.
Starting Friday evening, Filipinos in Myanmar will receive P500 in roaming credits for outgoing calls, incoming calls, and SMS. Globe prepaid and TM users will receive the support as prepaid load, while Globe postpaid customers will see a bill adjustment.
In Thailand and Vietnam, all Globe customers can access 1GB of data, 15 minutes of calls, and 15 SMS credits, valid for seven days. This assistance is automatically available to customers, without the need for registration, with a confirmation message sent upon activation.
“By providing free roaming services, Globe ensures our customers have a way to reach their loved ones and access emergency information during this difficult time,” said Paula Rivera-Castillo, head of Globe International Business. The initiative underscores Globe’s commitment to supporting Filipinos in crisis situations.
