NLEX logs record toll revenue of ₱6.98B in 1Q 2025

NLEX Corp. reported a 33 percent jump in net income for the first quarter of 2025, reaching ₱3.55 billion, up from ₱2.67 billion in the same period last year. The growth was driven by increased traffic volume and the toll rate adjustments on both the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and Subic–Clark–Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX).

Toll revenue climbed 16 percent to ₱6.98 billion from ₱6 billion in 1Q 2024, as the company benefited from “catch-up and add-on toll adjustments” rolled out in March 2025 for NLEX and October 2024 for SCTEX. Additional revenue came from the NLEX Connector Section 2, which began contributing in late 2024.

Average daily traffic on NLEX rose to 354,378 vehicle entries—up 2 percent from last year—while SCTEX traffic increased by 1 percent to 82,514 daily entries. The newly operational NLEX Connector recorded 20,698 daily entries during the quarter.

Operational costs also rose 8 percent year-on-year to ₱2.32 billion, in line with the company’s expanding infrastructure footprint and service delivery.

NLEX Corp., a key subsidiary under Metro Pacific Tollways Corp., continues to capitalize on its role as a critical transport artery linking Metro Manila to northern and central Luzon. The combined NLEX and SCTEX corridors span nearly 200 kilometers and handle over 350,000 vehicles daily, underscoring the strategic and commercial importance of the tollway network in supporting regional mobility and economic growth.
