    SGV deepens bench with 7 new partner appointments

    Top accounting and professional services firm SGV & Co. announced on Tuesday the appointment of seven new partners, effective 1 July, in a move aimed at reinforcing its leadership bench and supporting its nearly 6,000-strong workforce across disciplines.

    The newly admitted partners are Gecel C. Codera-Ong, Joan Rouella P. Corrales, Fatma Aleah A. Datukon, Hanselle S. Dela Cruz, Alvin R. Lagrimas, Arthur M. Maddalora, and Von Zierwin M. Villanueva, spanning expertise in tax, assurance, and industry-specific advisory services.

    SGV said the appointments reflect the intent to grow its capabilities and leadership in key sectors such as financial services, oil and gas, utilities, real estate, consumer products, BPO, and manufacturing. The firm emphasized that its partners are “leaders, mentors, and stewards” driving SGV’s purpose of enabling businesses and building a better working world.

    Tax specialists Codera-Ong, Corrales, and Datukon bring significant experience in tax advisory, compliance, corporate restructuring, and dispute resolution. On the assurance side, Dela Cruz, Lagrimas, Maddalora, and Villanueva have deep expertise in auditing publicly listed firms, capital markets, and regulated sectors such as banking and mining.

    SGV’s expanded partnership is expected to enhance its competitive position amid heightened demand for integrated professional services in complex and regulated environments, while reaffirming its role as a key player in corporate governance, compliance, and capital market readiness in the Philippines.
