PLDT Enterprise has announced a strategic collaboration with Lexmark Research and Development Corp., a global leader in R&D, supply chain management, and shared services, to enhance the latter’s global operations through advanced digital connectivity.
At the heart of the partnership is the implementation of PLDT Enterprise’s iGate, a robust and scalable connectivity solution designed to ensure secure, high-speed access to critical data and cloud services. This move is set to significantly improve Lexmark’s operational efficiency, enabling seamless communication and collaboration across its international teams.
According to Mitch Locsin, first vice president and head of Enterprise Core Business at PLDT and Smart, “This partnership with Lexmark signifies our ongoing commitment to delivering digital services that drive meaningful impact and enable seamless global collaboration.”
Stephan Bily, vice president for Global Business Services and president & CEO of Lexmark R&D Corp., added that PLDT Enterprise’s support is key to sustaining Lexmark’s digital transformation journey, stating that it “paves the way for a more technologically advanced and brighter digital future.”
The alliance also highlights the growing importance of resilient digital infrastructure in the offshoring and outsourcing (O&O) sector, where Lexmark employs over 1,800 staff in the Philippines. iGate’s scalability ensures Lexmark can efficiently scale bandwidth as needed, supporting long-term growth and innovation goals.
In addition to performance, the collaboration aligns with Lexmark’s sustainability objectives, including its 2035 carbon neutrality target. Lexmark integrates eco-conscious programs into its managed print services and utilizes long-life imaging components, sustainable sourcing, and a digitally informed supply chain to reduce environmental impact.
