FEU boosts stake in Pampanga school

Far Eastern University (FEU) has approved an additional equity investment of P11.4 million in Higher Academia, Inc. (HAI), a non-sectarian educational institution based in San Fernando, Pampanga. This move increases FEU’s ownership in HAI to 51 percent, solidifying its majority stake.

The investment aligns with FEU’s strategy to expand its educational footprint beyond Metro Manila. HAI, which operates Colegio de Sebastian-Pampanga, offers secondary and tertiary programs, including degrees in business administration, accountancy, hospitality management, and engineering.

Founded in 1928, FEU is a private non-sectarian university with a diverse portfolio of educational institutions. It operates campuses in Manila, Alabang, Silang, and Batangas, and has partnerships in Brunei and Nueva Ecija.

The partnership with Unilab’s MGHI Holdings Inc. in HAI reflects FEU’s commitment to accessible quality education in regional areas, supporting the development of the youth in Pampanga.

The campus offers bachelor’s degrees in accountancy, criminology, engineering, psychology, and tourism management. Programs in business administration and hospitality management are awaiting approval as extension programs.
