Manulife Philippines, in partnership with brand ambassador Erwan Heussaff and daughter Dahlia, continues its health advocacy by releasing the third video in their wellness series—this time focusing on the value of healthy eating habits at home.
The video, shared on Heussaff’s social media platforms, features the father-daughter duo preparing a simple tomato soup on a rainy day, underscoring that small, everyday food choices can significantly impact long-term health. “Teaching kids to eat right at an early age is just as critical as instilling values like honesty or kindness,” Heussaff said. “Obesity, diabetes, and other chronic diseases, once common in adults, are now affecting children. Healthy eating early on can help prevent these long-term issues.”
This message comes on the heels of survey findings commissioned by Manulife Philippines. According to the Manulife Asia Care Survey, while Filipinos rank physical health as their top priority for achieving a long, fulfilling life, only 5 out of 17 preventive health measures are adopted by the majority. In a separate Manulife Philippines study, 33 percent of Filipinos described their lifestyle as unhealthy, and 24 percent admitted to not knowing what a healthy diet entails.
“While Filipinos recognize the value of physical health, there remains a significant gap between awareness and action,” said Sonali Verma, chief marketing officer at Manulife Philippines. “Through our products, solutions, and partnerships with trusted voices like Erwan and Dahlia, we aim to bridge this gap—empowering more Filipino families to live healthier, more secure lives.”
The video is part of Manulife’s broader Impact Agenda and follows earlier content promoting nutritious cooking and environmental stewardship in partnership with the Haribon Foundation.
