SM Investments Corp., the flagship holding company of the SM Group, has again been named to TIME and Statista’s “World’s Best Companies 2025”list, recognized for its strong performance in sustainability, financial growth, and employee satisfaction.
It is the second consecutive year that the SM Group’s parent firm made the prestigious global ranking—underscoring its efforts to embed environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles across its businesses. Among 10 Philippine companies on the list, SM Investments ranked third. Affiliate China Banking Corporation was also recognized.
The TIME ranking highlights companies making the greatest impact globally, with sustainability a key metric alongside revenue growth and workplace quality. SM’s inclusion reflects its increasing focus on climate resilience, inclusive development, and transparent reporting.
“This recognition reflects our long-term commitment to sustainable value creation,” said SM Investments President and CEO Frederic DyBuncio, adding that the company continues to align business goals with community impact.
To qualify, companies needed at least USD100 million in revenue and were assessed on three-year growth, employee engagement surveys, and sustainability data such as carbon disclosures and ESG transparency.
SM Investments was also included in TIME’s Asia-Pacific Best Companies 2025, reinforcing its role as a regional leader in responsible corporate growth.
