PLDT Global Corp. has deepened its partnership with stc Pay Bahrain to enhance digital services for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The collaboration allows Filipinos to conveniently support loved ones back home by cashing in to Philippine e-wallets, sending e-gift vouchers, and soon, purchasing mobile load and digital subscriptions directly through the stc Pay app.
The initiative, powered by PLDT Global’s digital platform Vortex, offers secure and seamless cross-border transactions. It also introduces access to the Smart Virtual Number (SVN), enabling OFWs to receive OTPs for Philippine online transactions and call key government hotlines for free.
“This partnership brings digital convenience to our fellow Filipinos abroad,” said PLDT Global president and CEO Albert V. Villa-Real, highlighting the company’s commitment to borderless connectivity.
Metin Zavrak, CEO of stc Pay Bahrain, noted that the partnership not only expands their subscriber base but also strengthens ties with the Filipino community—part of their broader digital lifestyle strategy.
This expanded alliance builds on earlier efforts to integrate Philippine financial services into the stc Pay app, underscoring both companies’ commitment to supporting overseas Filipinos with tech-driven solutions.
