Megawide Construction Corp. has secured two new multi-billion-peso contracts from property giant Megaworld Corp. to build residential towers in two of its township developments in Metro Manila, cementing their long-standing partnership.
The listed infrastructure company said the contracts cover civil, structural, architectural, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection works for Uptown Modern in Uptown Bonifacio and One Portwood in Newport City.
“We are very excited to again work with Megaworld, who has been our long-standing client. Our partnership with them is built on the shared pursuit of sustainability, excellence, and speed-to-market, which have defined both our organizations’ brand and track record. We intend to cultivate this further by providing them products and services that meet their very strict quality and workmanship standards,” said Edgar Saavedra, Megawide president and chief executive officer.
Uptown Modern is the latest high-rise addition to the Uptown Bonifacio skyline, designed with “form and function in mind.” One Portwood, located across from NAIA Terminal 3, offers world-class amenities in a strategic location, positioned as an investment property with strong rental potential and long-term value.
“Our strategic partnership with Megawide has been built on a foundation of trust, and we applaud the consistent excellence they bring to every project. We are proud to collaborate with a top-tier construction company like Megawide as we turn our vision for our integrated townships like Uptown Bonifacio and Newport City into reality,” said Megaworld Head of Operations Jennifer L. Romualdez.
The contracts form part of Megawide’s P20 billion target for new deals this year as it seeks to grow its order book to P50 billion, with a balanced mix of residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
