ABS-CBN International agreed on Tuesday to begin livestreaming GMA Network Inc.’s on-demand channels abroad at its iWantTFC platform starting May 1.
GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV and GMA News TV as well as GMA on-demand programs will be available to iWantTFC subscribers in select countries in Asia-Pacific, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and the South Pacific/Caribbean Islands.
Details to the transaction were not made available by either ABS-CBN and GMA Network whose shares trade at the Philippine Stock Exchange.
To be sure, this isn’t the first time that ABS-CBN and GMA Network have collaborated. Programs of ABS-CBN have been airing on GMA Network channels just months after Congress decided to take back ABS-CBN’s broadcast franchise.
iWantTFC has 3.5 million subscribers.
