Condé Nast names Boracay’s white beach as world’s best

There are beaches you visit, and then there are beaches you cancel plans for. Boracay’s White Beach is firmly the latter—and now it has the crown to prove it.

Named the Best Beach in the World by Condé Nast Traveler readers for 2025, this 2.5-mile ribbon of impossibly white sand has officially perfected the art of sunbathing, surfing, and—its greatest skill—doing absolutely nothing.

Released on December 12, the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards reflect the collective wisdom of travelers who’ve been there, kicked off their sandals, and decided they might never emotionally recover.

White Beach stood out not just for its powder-soft sand and turquoise theatrics, but for its rare ability to be both blissfully lazy and buzzing with life.

By day, it’s a postcard come to life: calm waters, golden sunsets, and a shoreline that seems designed for long walks and longer naps. By night, the beach switches moods. Lanterns glow, music drifts from open-air bars, cocktails appear in your hand like magic, and suddenly “just one drink” becomes a seaside DJ set you didn’t plan—but absolutely needed.

CNT also praised White Beach’s social energy, from its dining scene to its nightlife, proving that paradise doesn’t have to clock out at sunset. It can dance.
Adding to the victory lap, Boracay, Palawan, and Siargao all landed spots among Asia’s Top 10 Islands, reinforcing the Philippines’ growing reputation as a heavyweight in world travel.

In short: the world has spoken, the sand has shimmered, and Boracay’s White Beach is officially that beach—the one everyone else is chasing, flip-flops in hand.
