Aboitiz deepens feed play with Diasham

Aboitiz Foods, the food group of listed investment holding company Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc., has completed the acquisition of Singapore-based Diasham Resources Pte. Ltd., strengthening its specialty nutrition portfolio and expanding its animal health and manufacturing capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region.

The transaction was carried out through Aboitiz Foods’ subsidiary Gold Coin Management Holdings Pte. Ltd. (GCMH) and involved the full equity acquisition of Diasham, subject to customary post-closing adjustments covering cash, debt-like items and working capital. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The deal pushes Aboitiz Foods further up the value chain, deepening its presence in specialty animal nutrition and health—segments that typically command higher margins and more stable demand than conventional feed. With nearly five decades of industry experience, Diasham brings a diversified portfolio of feed additives, water-soluble products, injectables and liquid solutions used across livestock and aquaculture production systems.

Beyond products, Diasham adds reach. The company has built distribution networks across key Asia-Pacific markets, including Thailand, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Bangladesh. The expanded footprint strengthens Aboitiz Foods’ ability to serve customers across multiple protein markets while reducing its reliance on any single geography.

The acquisition builds on Aboitiz Foods’ long-running regional expansion strategy. The group made its first international investment in Vietnam more than a decade ago and accelerated its growth with the 2018 acquisition of GCMH, which now anchors much of its feed and nutrition business in Asia.

For Aboitiz Equity Ventures, the transaction reinforces agribusiness as a core growth platform alongside power, banking and infrastructure. As protein demand rises and producers face tighter margins and higher input costs, demand for specialty nutrition and animal health solutions is expected to grow.

With Diasham folded into the group, Aboitiz Foods is positioning itself not merely as a feed supplier, but as a regional solutions provider focused on improving animal performance, efficiency and long-term food security.
