Manila Water rounded 2025 with non-revenue water (NRW) at 13.55 percent, one of the lowest levels in Asia, showing strong efficiency in managing its water system. For the full year, average NRW stood at 14.27 percent, reflecting steady performance in reducing water losses from leaks, illegal connections, and meter issues.
The low NRW level means more water is reaching customers. The company said that for every one-percent drop in NRW, up to 15 million liters of water per day can be recovered and delivered to households. This helps support growing communities and ensures more reliable water service in the East Zone.
Manila Water said the result highlights the impact of ongoing efforts such as pipe and meter replacement, pressure management, close monitoring of water districts, and the use of digital tools to quickly detect and fix leaks. These initiatives are part of the company’s long-term strategy to provide stable, 24/7 water service to its customers.
