The Philippine Airlines (PAL) is now allowing small dogs to travel inside the aircraft cabin on all domestic flights, expanding its pet-friendly FurPAL program.
Launched in November 2025, FurPAL lets “fur parents” bring their small dogs on board, making air travel more inclusive and convenient for pet lovers. With the program now available on all domestic routes, passengers can fly with their pets from Manila to Boracay, return home to Davao City, or visit Bacolod — with their dogs by their side in the cabin.
The service costs P2,500 one-way on domestic flights. Passengers can add their pet during booking.
Under the program, only small dog breeds weighing up to 10 kilograms, at least eight weeks old, and fully weaned are allowed. Each passenger may bring one dog, and only up to three small dogs are permitted per flight.
Dogs must be placed in a soft-sided, leak-proof carrier not bigger than 17 x 11 x 9.5 inches. The carrier must have pee pads and at least two ventilation panels. Pets must stay inside the carrier and be placed under the seat in front of the passenger for the entire flight.
Required documents include a health certificate, updated vaccination records, a veterinary certificate, a PAL waiver and declaration form, and a shipping permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry. Sedation of pets is not allowed.
PAL said passenger safety and comfort remain a priority. Its aircraft are equipped with hospital-grade HEPA filters that remove up to 99.99 percent of airborne particles, and cabins are cleaned thoroughly before every flight.
