    Intellicare, Mitsubishi forge healthcare alliance

Leading healthcare management solutions provider Intellicare has sealed a landmark strategic partnership with Mitsubishi Corp., deepening its push into data-driven healthcare services for Japanese firms operating in the Philippines.

Under a memorandum of understanding, Intellicare Group and its affiliate Avega become the only health maintenance organization in the country collaborating with Japanese companies under Mitsubishi’s global network.

The agreement covers comprehensive HMO solutions, educational workshops, third-party administration services, clinic-based care and customized healthcare structures tailored to Japanese enterprises.

The alliance builds on Mitsubishi’s strategic investment in Fullerton Health, the parent company of Intellicare Group. The move strengthens Intellicare’s access to regional expertise and analytics capabilities while opening cross-border business opportunities as more Japanese companies expand in Southeast Asia.

Intellicare president Jeremy G. Matti said the partnership marks a new chapter of growth, expressing optimism that joint initiatives will expand the group’s reach and allow more companies to experience what he described as meaningful healthcare delivery.

The collaboration extends Mitsubishi’s healthcare portfolio beyond Japan and into a fast-growing Philippine market where Japanese manufacturers and service firms continue to invest.

Yutaka Suzuki, general manager of Mitsubishi’s Healthcare Department, said the partnership aims to build a data-driven platform that enables companies to manage medical costs more effectively and intelligently.

The tie-up signals a broader shift in corporate healthcare strategy, as multinational firms demand greater transparency, cost control and employee wellness outcomes. By combining Mitsubishi’s global intelligence network with Intellicare’s local market strength, the partners are positioning themselves to capture a niche segment that values both cultural alignment and operational efficiency.

Chairman Mario M. Silos said the goal is to create a meaningful impact and build something greater for the Philippines, underscoring ambitions that extend beyond standard HMO coverage into integrated, technology-enabled care.
